Alex Lang, Trustee

With a background of 35 years in the travel business and 22 years in Local Government – the majority as a Health Promotion Officer – Alex has been involved with the Community Trust since its inception..

He also has involvement within the interactive safety education field as Director of Hertfordshire Crucial Crew Ltd., helped establish the Safety Centre Alliance, was on the Steering Group of the Child Safety Education Coalition, and was on the RoSPA/LASER Steering group that devised and implemented the National Accreditation Scheme for Safety Centres.

Involved with both local and national charities – either as a Trustee, Fundraiser, or Clerk to Trustees, Alex was  a school Governor in Stevenage and Bishops Stortford, was a Parish Councillor, and is a Rotarian.

Personal interests include charities, travel, and photography.

In our first 32 years, we gave out more than £2 million in grants to help local people and organisations.

We could not have realised this without the generosity of our supporters and our aim is to build on the these rock solid foundations and be even more impactful for our community over the next 30 years.Robert Stewart - Chairman
