We need all hands on deck!

More and more people from all over the Stevenage community are reaching out for help and support. Applications for Heating and Hardship Grants are continuing to increase, along with applications for Community Grants that will help to improve the lives and wellbeing of local people.

We can meet these growing needs but we need your help so that we can do more!

If you would like to be part of our much-loved local charity and volunteer team, and you spare a few hours from time to time, we would love to meet you to tell you about our volunteering opportunities.

North Herts College celebrate new allotment thanks to community funding

North Herts College this week celebrated the success of their new Stevenage Community Allotment thanks to local funding, and lots of very hard work by the college students and project team.


Lord Cobbold Patron and founding Chairman of the SCT

Former Patron and founding Chairman of the Stevenage Community Trust Lord David Cobbold has sadly passed away aged 84.


Community Grant helps fund new play equipment

Among the many community projects that we helped fund during the last year, is this lovely new play equipment and seating for the Community Hall play area in Watton-at-Stone.


SCT win Asda’s Green Token vote and receive £500!

Amazing news! Stevenage Community Trust has come out top in Asda Stevenage’s online Green Token Giving vote resulting in a fantastic donation of £500!


Dinner and Dance 2021

An enthralling evening of entertainment led to a record-breaking £36,500 being raised which will be used to support charitable organisations, community projects and families in crisis.


COVID-19 recovery fund

We are proud to announce the launch of the largest fund in our 31-year history. Our £100,000 post COVID-19 recovery fund will be dedicated to helping local schools improve the mental and physical well-being and educational outcomes of pupils affected by the pandemic.


Lest We Forget on Remembrance Sunday

Stevenage Community Trust remember the many lives that were sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy today. Olivia Stewart, Letchmore School Primary School pupil and eldest grandchild of Chairman Robert Stewart has in recent years laid the wreath is pictured outside the Stevenage Community Trust office.


Together with the Community for the Community

The Comet featured our COVID-19 partnership with Stevenage FC and Stevenage Community Food Bank, to provide a bespoke shopping service for those hit hardest by the Coronavirus.
