Bubbly Floella Benjamin was the guest speaker at the Stevenage Community Trust Celebrity Lunch held on 4th December 2009. The former star of TV’s Playschool gave a highly entertaining yet thought-provoking talk to an audience of over 180 guests which included the Chairman of Stevenage Community Trust, Ken Follett and the Trust’s Patron, Lord Cobbold. We were also fortunate to welcome David Croft from Radio 5 Live who kindly offered to act as auctioneer. The Novotel Hotel once again hosted the event which raised in excess of £5,200 for the Trust. A big thank you to everyone who supported this event.
