The Stevenage Community Trust was delighted to receive a donation for £1,400 following the Chief Constable's Summer Ball. The cheque was presented on 1st July 2009 by Chief Constable Frank Whiteley at Police Headquarters in Welwyn Garden City.

The Ball was held on Sunday 13th June 2009 at Beales Hotel, Hatfield and proved to be a lavish event with police officers, staff, family and friends enjoying a three course meal followed by entertainment from a live band. Funds were raised through ticket sales, a raffle, auction and donations.

Chief Constable Frank Whiteley said "I am delighted we have been able to award this charity with funds, especially after such a fantastic event. The Stevenage Community Trust is helping to secure safety, justice, and reassurance for all by funding life changing projects, events and helping people who are in need. With the money raised from the Ball, we have been able to help them continue their valuable work in providing for our communities".
