8th July 2018
Knebworth Golf Club hosted Stevenage Community Trust’s annual fundraiser, which saw 70 golfers from firms across the area take to the fairways in glorious sunshine and raise almost £6,000 for community causes.
Winners of the overall competition were Stevenage-based Fujitsu closely followed by runners-up from Hitchin’s HRJ Foreman Laws Solicitors. Winning the yellow ball competition was the team from Stevenage’s Alroy Microwave and Electronics Ltd.
Paul Beasley, chief executive of main sponsor Richmond House Wealth Management and a trustee of the Stevenage Community Trust, said: “This is a great example of local businesses giving back to the local community. Thanks to our sponsors, donors and all those who took part we raised almost £6,000 which will be used to provide grants to improve the lives of people living in Stevenage and the surrounding villages.”
